Montserrat

On the afternoon of Wednesday 23.03.2022, Ph.D students Liza Žaper, Andriani Vervelaki, Daniel Jetter, and Hinrich Mattiat (not in picture), as well as post-doc Dr. Kousik Bagani, and Prof. Poggio (taking picture) went on the “NanoMRI 7” conference outing to Monserrat in Catalonia, Spain. After touring the monastery and taking a hike to enjoy the view, the participants enjoyed a conference dinner on-site.

  • Nanowires as Scanning Force Sensors

    A new type of atomic force microscope (AFM) uses nanowires as tiny sensors. Unlike standard AFM, the device with a nanowire sensor enables measurements of both the size and direction of forces.
