Restiberg

Over the weekend of 13.05.2022, the group gathered at the Ferienhaus Restiberg above Linthal in the canton Glarus. The weather cooperated and 17 group members and 2 guests enjoyed a relaxing time in the mountains, hiking, eating, drinking, talking, and lots of laughing. Photos are here.

    On Friday, May 11th, 2018, the group went on a day-long bicycle tour of nearby Alsace, France.

  • Nanowires as Scanning Force Sensors

    A new type of atomic force microscope (AFM) uses nanowires as tiny sensors. Unlike standard AFM, the device with a nanowire sensor enables measurements of both the size and direction of forces.

    On the afternoon of Thursday the 25.11.2021, the group took some time to go karting.
