Dr. Floris Braakman received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Physics in 2008 from Leiden University. In 2013, he completed his Ph.D. in Physics at the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience at the Technical University of Delft under the supervision of Prof. Lieven Vandersypen. There he focused his research on the coherent coupling of qubits in arrays of gate-defined quantum dots. In particular, his work shed light on the important role of photon-assisted tunneling in triple quantum dots. Dr. Braakman joined the lab in November 2013. In 2015, he won an Ambizone Grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation allowing him to establish an independent research project.
